Tasting Room

As you arrive you will feel as though you have been transported to Italy. Grape vines will stimulate your imagination as you enter the lovely outdoor patio. Here you can enjoy the spectacular view so reminiscent of the old country— undulating hills and fragrant roses under a splendid sky. The decor is noticeably Italian, with a mural from Piedmonte. Black-and-white photos depict historic wine-making scenes from long ago. The shelves are filled with books about wines and winemaking. “Marchesi Winery is a place to visit, taste wines, and be spoiled,” says Franco, “I love to share stories about Italy.”
Children and dogs are welcome! We have created our newly expanded tasting room with plenty of seating, as well as made improvements to the expanded outdoor patio. We have undercover seating available with blankets and heaters for those cozy winter afternoons. Come join us for a glass or bottle of award-winning wine! No reservations are required.

Salute,

Franco and Sandy Marchesi

2022 UVAGGIO, Columbia Valley

Ill BIANCO

This is a new blend for Marchesi Vineyards. An Uvaggio, a blend of Chardonnay, 60% and Sauvignon

Blanc 40% The il Bianco 2022 is impressive, straight-up delicious, fun, good white wine. Unpretentious yet far more than a simple vino Bianco. While the aromas and initial flavors yield a floral elegance, the intense minerality coats the mid palate with an expression of buttery lemon curd fruit, with notes of Bartlett pear and grated ginger. Enjoy with seafood pasta, dishes with white sauces, grilled octopus, roast pork, swordfish, albacore tuna or Branzino.

2023 VINO ‘NOVELLO’ Columbia Valley

NOVELLO

The 2023 Novello was made using the carbonic maceration method from Merlot grapes that were harvested September 15 in Sunnyside Washington. This wine is meant to be enjoyed young. Our Novello is a lovely wine, full of freshness and yought. Lively red with fuschia reflection in color, to the nose pomegranate , strawberry and raspberry, in the palate blueberry, pomegranate and raspberry, mild tannins and a lovely acidity, fruity aroma. A good food wine to celebrate the holidays season. The Ideal Thanksgiving Wine!

2021 ‘SOLIMANO’ DRY RED WINE, Columbia Valley

SOLIMANO

People ask what is my favorite wine is all the time, and I’m always hesitant to respond as Ilike them all. But this is the wine I bring to a friend house, when invited over. This is a very important wine for this winery as it is a blend of Nebbiolo, the most prominent grape varietal of Piemonte, Italy and Pinot Noir, the most cultivated grape variety in Oregon a blend of Old and New word. Our Nebbiolo was sources in south WA and the Pinot Noir came from our vines grown here at Marchesi Vineyards. Has good concentration of fruit on the nose with refined aromas of cherries and herbal notes. Sophisticated on the palate with hints of spice, elegance and harmony will lead to a sweet finish.

2021 BARBERA, Columbia Valley

ACHILLE

At Marchesi Vineyards, we LOVE our Barbera.  It is our signature wine and reminds me of  my home in Piedmont, Italy.  Appropriately named Achille, after my maternal grandfather who was a fan of Barbera. Deep ruby red color with a rich and complex balance of violets, wild berries and ripe black cherries on the nose.  On the palate, crisp and dry, with a pleasant backbone of acidity that carries to the elegant finish. This wine is a most friendly food companion.  From red sauce pasta to stews, this wine will not disappoint any meal.

Plum and luscious, on the palate it offers dark element of coffee, chocolate and blackberry. Lively acidity carries the wine to the beautiful finish. Enjoy it with your favorite burger, poultry, pork, and stews featuring mushrooms, brasato con funghi; polenta……….
